Often referred to as the Valley of the Bike people, the Tweed Valley in the Scottish Borders has become one of the world’s leading destinations for anyone who likes to spend their recreational time on two wheels!
The area is home to a diversity of landscapes from forest, hills and wild moorland around Peebles to flatter, neatly farmed arable land to the east. This area is a magnet for those drawn to wild beauty and a desire for adventure.
We have a whole range of routes available for the independent cyclist but if you would prefer us to put together a cycling experience for you with a local qualified guide then please get in touch.
If its calorie-burning climbs you’re after with jaw-dropping views at the top followed by some gnarly descents – we have some great MTB routes for you. Equally if you prefer a more gentle adventure, riding along the banks of the river Tweed following routes which link places of historic interest and which frequent some of the best coffee shops around, then we have that covered too.
If road cycling is your thing, then let us guide you on routes that avoid busy roads and if you’re partial to a bit of gravel there is a huge variety of amazing routes through the forests along the Tweed Valley corridor. Get in touch if you want vehicle back up on road rides in the area for the true Pro experience.
To get the best out of your Tweed Valley cycling experience, give us a call or drop us an email and we can have a chat and plan a great experience with you or put you in touch with people that can. We recommend Ridelines a local Innerleithen based Mtb tuition and guiding company established in 2011 teaching everything from fundamental bike skills with help and advice for absolute beginners all the way up to gnarly trail riders and everything in-between.
