PG1-Barns Estate and Cademuir

Barns Estate and Cademuir via the old Neidpath railway tunnel (optional 10km gravel section).

We like… It’s an easy, flat ride passing through a variety of landscapes and the section through the Neidpath tunnel adds excitement to the ride. The ride does not go too far from Peebles and the tunnel can be avoided if preferred.

Watch out for… bring a torch or bike light for riding/walking through the railway tunnel. You can just about get away with a mobile phone torch but the tunnel is almost half a mile long and it is pitch black for most of the way! Steep flight of steps down from the bridge at Lyne station.
