PG5-Upper Tweed Valley to Talla Reservoir

A gem of gravel heaven riding into the Upper Tweed valley. The views down to the river and the valley are very special. A fair bit of tarmac on this ride starting it from Peebles , but we think its well worth it! Perfect for the versatile gravel bike and those wanting a longer ride from Peebles.

We like… A spectacular section of gravel riding in the Upper Tweed Valley with lots of choice of short cuts if needed. and if you wish to shorten the ride, there is an option to park the car nearer the start of the gravel section. Part of this route shared with PG4 but this has the more detailed instructions and two detailed maps.

Watch out for… We prefer riding this route clockwise, giving you much more time to admire the views and take in the scenery all around you. Its then a long mainly downhill tarmac ride taking riders back towards Peebles.
