A beautiful, fairly flat ride which passes through the parishes of Stobo & Drumelzier, one of only two National Scenic Areas in the Scottish Borders. The route climbs up the Dreva road rewarding you with incredible views over the valley below before dropping to Broughton – the half way mark and a good place for refreshments at the popular Laurel Bank tearoom.

We like… Bountiful views! Good coffee stops at Laurel Bank tearoom & Dawyck Botanic Gardens . The walk up to the Hillfort at Tinnis Castle is well worth the effort, especially on a fine day.

Watch out for… fast moving traffic & heavy vehicles on the A72 outside Peebles – occasional debris on roads from farm machinery.
